Historical

horsemanship

for today

Many equestrians have a limited amount of knowledge and understanding of the deep influence, history and culture that the horse has brought to mankind, and how horses were cared for, used and viewed in our past.

Likewise many historians are oblivious to the nuances of equestrian culture and the detail of the modern equestrian world, even when writing specifically about historical equestrian topics.

In short, few people are both horseman and historian. As someone who is both, I hope to provide a small bond between these two worlds and shed light on topics that have had little or limited cohesion.
