Mounted fencing instruction
Mounted combat or “rossfechten” (horse-based fighting) instruction – I am an accomplished practitioner of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) and have studied the mounted sections of these historical manuals in depth. I have also put these skills into practical applications in mounted melees, so am able to offer individual or group instruction in this area
Medieval knight
The mounted medieval warrior is a powerful image in Western society. I am fully equipped as either a mid-thirteenth century knight from the “high” middle ages, or as mounted, fully armoured warrior from the second half of the 15th century during the later middle ages.
Historical lectures
Historical equine lectures – Either on the above topics, or on medieval horses in general. This can cover everything from typology, breeding, healthcare, tack, uses, farriery, etc. and can be tailored for general consumption at public events or for more specialised groups.
